Internet has been lurking in Pakistan costing common people to make them pay for like silver and gold. ISPs here also had enjoyed selling costly bandwidths to end users. Since when PTCL (Pakistan Telecommunication Ltd.) launched its Broadband TriplePlay Project, the prices have smashingly reduced over 50% roundabout.

need_speed_ad_1.jpgOn the 1st of March 2008, PTCL Braodband is doubling the 1Mbps to 2Mbps in the same package plan without charging extra price. This upgrade will also be implemented on smaller packages as well. Besides this, PTCL Broadband now shakes hands with HEC (Higher Education Commission) to provide internet to the students at 30% lower rates. Though, this initiative reveals the fact, that I.T. is prospering in Pakistan; but, there are thousands of leaps still need to be retentively taken comparative to far middle east countries!
Yet, providing support with discomfort (when there’s any downtime) PTCL Broadband, seems like an abandoned Dubai Sheiks’* baby, being pampered fiercely and mercilessly in Pakistani hands but, it stills pounds other ISPs leaving them in the dark room with no future other than loosing customers! :D

*PTCL privatized & more than 70% shares went to Etisalat of UAE.
